What We Do
Google Ads & & Ad Grants For Charities
Your future supporters are already searching. Let’s make sure they find you.
Specialist Google Ads management for charities, healthcare organisations and non profits, including up to £8,000 a month of free advertising through the Google Ad Grant.
Every day, people search for exactly what you do
Someone types “help with sight loss”, “dementia support near me” or “free counselling for young people” into Google. Right now they find a national charity, a private provider, or a page of adverts. They rarely find you.
That is not because your work is less good. It is because nobody is putting you in front of them at the moment they need you.
Search is the only channel where people tell you exactly what they want. No guessing at interests, no hoping for reach. They ask, and you answer. For a mission driven organisation with a tight budget, nothing else is as efficient.
Google will fund your advertising. Most charities never claim it.
We do both halves of the job:
- Get you approved. TT Exchange registration, Google for Nonprofits enrolment, account build and submission.
- Actually spend it well. Keyword research, ad copy, landing pages, conversion tracking and monthly compliance monitoring so the account never gets suspended.
What we will not tell you.
We will not tell you that we can spend your full $10,000 every month. Most UK charities realistically spend between £500 and £2,500 of it, because the Ad Grant caps your bids and because search demand in a specific cause has a ceiling. Any agency promising the full amount is either guessing or buying you useless traffic to hit a number.
We will tell you, before you commit to anything, what your search market can actually support. Sometimes the answer is that paid search is not your priority and your money is better spent elsewhere. We would rather say that than take a retainer for a channel that will not move.
What's included:
- Ad Grant application: TT Exchange validation, Google for Nonprofits enrolment, compliant account build, submission and follow up.
- Account strategy: Keyword research grounded in how your beneficiaries and donors actually search, not internal jargon.
- Campaign build:Tightly themed campaigns, sitelinks, geographic targeting, negative keyword lists.
- Ad copy: Written for a sensitive sector. Clear, human, never exploitative.
- Landing pages: Pages that match search intent and convert. We build these on your WordPress site.
- Conversion tracking: Donations, enquiries, sign ups and downloads measured properly, so you know what the grant delivered.
- Compliance monitoring: Monthly checks against the 5% click through rate rule and Google's keyword policies. Suspension prevented, not cured.
- Reporting:A monthly report a trustee can read, showing cost per enquiry and cost per donation, not vanity clicks.
Who this works for
It works well if: you are a registered charity with a working website, you have services or campaigns people search for by name or by need, and you have someone who can respond to the enquiries it generates.
It works less well if: your cause has almost no search volume, your website has no clear conversion point, or nobody internally can follow up on leads. We will say so at the discovery call rather than three months in.
Not eligible directly: NHS trusts, hospitals, schools and government bodies cannot hold an Ad Grant. Their charitable foundations usually can, and we set those up regularly.
How it works
Free eligibility check. Send us your charity number and website. Within two working days you get a yes or no, a list of anything blocking approval, and a realistic monthly spend estimate.
Discovery call. We agree what a conversion is worth to you and what success looks like.
Setup month. Application, account build, tracking, landing pages.
Ongoing management. Monthly optimisation, compliance monitoring and reporting.
Google Ads is one of four workstreams in our charity retainers, alongside website, social media and email. It works hardest when it is joined up with the rest, not bolted on.
Find out if you qualify
No cost, no obligation, no sales pitch. Send us your charity number and website address and we will tell you honestly whether the Google Ad Grant is worth your time.
FAQ
Is this the same as Google AdWords?
Yes. Google AdWords was renamed Google Ads in 2018. If you have been told your charity needs AdWords management, this is the service you are looking for.
How much does management cost?
We quote based on account size and how many campaigns you need. Ad Grants management typically sits within a wider monthly retainer rather than being sold alone, because the clicks are only worth having if the landing pages and follow up work. We will give you a fixed monthly figure before you commit.
Can you take over an existing Ad Grants account?
Yes, and it is one of the most common things we do. Many charities have an approved account that has been suspended or left idle. We audit it, fix the compliance breaches, request reactivation and rebuild the campaigns.
How long until we see results?
Search is fast compared with most channels. Expect meaningful data within four to six weeks of going live, and a stable cost per enquiry by month three.
Do we need a new website first?
Not always, but the landing pages matter more than the ads. If your current pages will not convert, we will tell you and we can build the pages you need.
