TASK is a boutique marketing agency with a simple belief: that organisations doing genuinely important work deserve genuinely brilliant marketing. We exist to serve the third sector. Charities, community interest companies, not-for-profits and healthcare organisations working at the sharp end of real human need.
Sarah and Steve come from entertainment marketing: music, film and video games. Fast-moving industries where you need to capture attention quickly. That background fundamentally changes how they work. They bring a creative instinct that most sector-specialist agencies simply don’t have.
TASK is also, by design, small. There are no junior hand-offs. When you work with TASK, you work directly with Sarah and Steve. Deep relationships, proper attention and the kind of understanding that only comes from really listening.
What TASK believes
The people your organisation serves are the story. TASK’s job is to help you tell it in a way that moves people. Whether that’s donors, commissioners, volunteers – whomever needs to understand why your work matters.
Our Approach
We start every project the same way: by listening. Not a cursory discovery call, but a proper conversation about what your organisation does, who it serves and what’s actually getting in the way of your communications working harder.
From there, we build. Strategy first, then creative. Everything we produce is grounded in your brand, your audience and your goals. We don’t recycle templates or apply a one-size-fits-all approach because the third sector doesn’t work that way. A mental health charity communicates very differently from a membership body for healthcare advocates, and both are different again from a local authority running a public health campaign.
We also believe in being honest. If something isn’t working, we’ll say so. If a tactic doesn’t suit your budget or your audience, we won’t recommend it. You’ll always know where you stand and why we’re suggesting what we’re suggesting.
You are the experts in what you do. We are the experts in making sure the world knows it.
Sarah and Steve have worked across a broad range of clients and sectors over the years. Good and interesting work. But it has always been the third sector projects which have struck the deepest chord. Knowing that a well-crafted campaign might help someone access mental health support, find stable housing, or break free from addiction… that changes how you face your working day. So they made a decision: to commit fully to the causes that matter most.
Sarah and Steve run a charity called the David Longdon foundation, which raises money to send underprivileged children to music college and to benefit Nordoff & Robbins music therapy.
Whether you’re engaging donors, supporting patients, informing the public, or inspiring travellers, we design every journey with your users in mind, ensuring intuitive, effective, and meaningful digital experiences.
If your website isn’t delivering the results you need, TASK can help you transform it into a powerful tool for growth, engagement, and impact.
