Access to justice foundation

A great website changes everything.

People walking together through a woodland path

The Access To Justice Foundation had a site that was turning people away. No engagement, no donations, no clear sense of who they were and what they stood for. TASK rebuilt it from the ground up. The results spoke for themselves

The Challenge

The Access To Justice Foundation came to TASK with a site that was quietly failing them.  Slow to load, impossible to navigate on a phone and without a single clear prompt to act.  Their site was turning people away before they’d had a chance to connect.  Donations had stalled and engagement had flatlined.

They knew exactly who they were, though:  funder, not a legal body – even if their founders sit at the heart of the legal establishment.  Getting that across meant using the word “justice” the way people actually feel it, not the way lawyers define it.  The site needed to earn trust from institutional funders law firms and individual donors all at once, without feeling like it had been written by a committee.

Our Solution

TASK built the navigation around that complexity.  Different audiences, each needing their own clear pathway in, without the site fracturing into incoherence.  We kept the design clean and easy to navigate.  We led with vision rather than mechanics, and let the numbers do the credibility work.

The copywriting carried urgency without desperation.  Carrying the IVAR Open and Trust mark was a deliberate signal to grant-seeking organisations that ATJF is worth applying to.  This is something which matters enormously in a sector where applicant capacity is already stretched.

Throughout the site, real people stayed at the centre.  A foundation rooted in the legal establishment, making the case for people that establishment has failed, simply has to lead with the human cost.  That’s where the argument for access to justice is won or lost.

The Results

The result was a website which increased donations, increased traffic and increased engagement. ATJF went on to recommend TASK to their sister organisation, Network For Justice and the Advice Services Network.
