Patient Care Locally

When great work goes unnoticed, we fix that

Patient care Locally were delivering exceptional healthcare across the East Midlands but nobody beyond their patch knew it. TASK built their brand from scratch, gave them a professional voice and placed them on a national stage. Three years later, they’d saved the NHS almost £9 million and grown their turnover from £5 million to £23 million

The Challenge

When Patients Care Locally (PCL) came to TASK, they were doing extraordinary work.  Quietly delivering real healthcare across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR).  The problem wasn’t what they were doing.  It was that almost nobody outside their immediate geography knew they were doing it.

They had innovative ideas and a track record that deserved a much bigger stage.  But without an established brand or any real presence beyond the local, there was no way of reaching it.

Our Solution

We started at the beginning.  Brand identity, visual language, tone of voice.  From there, we expanded into website design and copywriting, marketing collateral, their annual report, long-form video and ensuring their presence at national conferences looked and felt like the serious organisation they actually were.

PCL’s communications needed to work across two very different audiences.  Patients who needed to feel informed and reassured.  Healthcare professionals and system partners who needed to see PCL as credible and worth collaborating with.  TASK built a strategy around that reality, using Facebook and Instagram for service users and LinkedIn for the professional audience – each with its own tone and messaging, but all coherent with a single unified brand.

TASK didn’t try to fit PCL into a box. Our communications are tailored to the audience we are trying to reach and yet maintain a singular voice and feel. They have brought a fresh approach and now we stand out from other healthcare organisations.

The Results

Over three years, PCL’s profile changed fundamentally. Their CEO was invited to speak at national conferences, contribute to white papers and comment in the industry press.  In healthcare, that kind of credibility opens doors.  Shaping it, across every touchpoint from their website to their conference presence, was where TASK’s contribution mattered most.

The numbers speak for themselves.  PCL helped save the LLR Integrated Care Board almost £9 million.  In 2024/25, they delivered 269,175 patient contacts, administered 32,532 vaccinations and achieved a 98% patient satisfaction rate.  Their reach grew beyond LLR into Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Coventry.  Turnover grew from £5 million to £23 million.

Of course TASK was one part of a wider team.  But communications built the solid foundation those achievements stood on.  A presence which told patients, partners and commissioners alike: this organisation knows what it’s doing.
